November 1995

John suffered a major heart attack on bonfire night 1995, after months of anti-social behaviour in Toft Street, Liverpool 7. Fireworks were placed in his car exhaust, and attempts were made to torch the house. The trauma of all this and trying to protect his family was too much for him. He was just 45 years old, a wonderful husband and dad. In his spare time he was a British Red Cross Volunteer, driving ambulances, undertaking first aid duties and helping in the medical loan depot, as well as running a club for handicapped children and taking disabled people on holiday. He is loved and remembered every single day by his wife Linda and his daughter Emily and the rest of his family.
